Hello parents, and caregivers,
This week we will continue working on our final Project Lead the Way project! The students will be applying their knowledge of matter to create a cooler that will keep a popsicle cold for one hour! We will work on these projects in class for the next two weeks. We are also continuing to study african americans that made a strong impact on our country. Next week we will focus on the lives of Rosa Parks, Ella Fitzgerald, and Jackie Robinson. We will be finishing our measurement unit this week. Our next unit of study will focus on numbers to 1,000 and counting and recognizing money. Our word family this week is -ail, and -ain words. We are also learning about homophones, which are words that sound the same but are spelled differently, and have two different meanings. Parent teacher conferences are tomorrow! Please make sure you are punctual so that each family gets their time to talk about their child. The Scholastic Book Fair will be open Friday during conferences from 8:00-3:45. The Book Fair is located on the 3rd floor in Room 300. -Mrs. Melman
