The students are using tools such as rulers, and yardsticks to measure. They are also reviewing using graphs to collect and analyze data. In phonics this week we are working on abbreviations, and the er and set word family. We are also learning to find the subject of a sentence. We are continuing to use the writing process, and learning to form paragraphs in our writing. Our class Valentines party will be on February 14th. The students will trade valentines in the classroom. We will create a bag to collect them in, in the room. If your child chooses to bring valentines, please bring them for each child. We have 26 students in our class. -Mrs. Melman
